Top 12 Things about me

Here are a few things you should know about me:
1. Guinevere is not my real name, she is the main character in the book that I am writing.
2. My faith in Christ is the number one thing that defines who I am. (this will also be the basis for a lot of my posts)
3. I feel that God has called me to be a missionary; I don't know where yet but I'm sure He'll let me know when the time is right.
4. I want to be a vet someday, I think I will probably do large and small animals but my dream is to be the vet at a zoo.
5. I have way too many pets: 1 cat, 2 dogs, 11 goats, and the occasional fish. They are all like my children. (again, lots of posts! :)
6. I was homeschooled my whole life.
7. I am a college freshman majoring in chemistry. My dad also teaches chemistry and my older sister is working on her PhD in chemistry (notice a trend here?)
8. I play the piano and I love to sing (neither very well, I should add)
9. I'm not very athletic but I played volleyball in highschool.
10. I love to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, sew, paint, and the list goes on!
11. I am learning Sign Language and would love to be a part of Deaf ministry somehow.
12. My favorites: color - purple, season - spring, animal - dog, holiday - Christmas!
Those are probably the most important things about me (as well as some random facts thrown in), you'll probably learn more as you go along and as I get to know my followers. (well, other than the ones I know in real life. ;)

  9. Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. It is a community of creative, clever, caring people. You don't have too many pets. Where are the rabbits, horses, sheep, etc? Curious why you are majoring in Chemistry and not Biology if your goal is to be a vet. Looking forward to reading more. Be sure to stop by my blog. "Aunt Parsley" sent me.

  13. Hi Guinevere,

You must post pictures of your hobbies! I know college is busy but somehow I had more time to stitch back then I was single.

Don't worry if you don't end up being a missionary right now. I was trying to be a Christian teacher, got a horrible placement for one of my clinical experiences, failed, and went back home in disgrace....and then when I thought I would be stuck where I was forever, God threw me for a loop and said that I was getting married and moving to Texas.

    Auntie Parsley sent me btw.

  24. Thanks for all the warm welcomes!!! :)
Deborah, oh I wish I could add a horse to that list. lol! Yeah, there are several reasons why I'm majoring in chemistry rather than biology, for one, the requirements to get into vet school are only a couple classes away from being a chemistry major, for another, there really isn't much you can do with a bioligy degree if you don't get into vet school. But I will most likely end up double-majoring in both chemistry and biology.
Lisa, I think I remember that you wanted to work at a zoo but I'm not sure if I ever heard that you wanted to be a vet tech. Although, knowing my memory, you probably told me and I just forgot. lol! :)
