Secret Santa

So today a couple of friends and I went and did Secret Santa. We went to a fast food restaurant and got a gift certificate and then went to walmart and picked out some things to put in a gift bag. We decided to go with kid stuff so we got an assortment of playdough, glowsticks, games, puzzles, and hats and gloves. Then we started driving around in some of the neighborhoods that looked like they could use some Christmas cheer. We prayed and asked God to show us where our gift would be most needed. Well, my friends both have or still do work at the local skating rink and one of them recognized the car of someone who hangs out at the rink all the time. So we decided that this was the house! We got turned around and pulled up a little past the house. I got out and snuck up to the porch and set the bag down on the mat. I knocked on the door and then turned around and ran for the car! I jumped in and closed the door and turned back to see a woman looking through the glass screen door holding a little kid in her arms. I'm sure that that was where God wanted us to leave that gift. I just pray that we were able to show His love through that small gift this Christmas season. We are planning on doing this again everyday this week. I'll let you all know what happens!

  2. That is what the season should be about! Not gifts we don't need and often don't want. :) My family donates in each others names for some of our gifts, that is all Chris and I do for each other.

I enjoy buying for the Salvation Army Christmas tree. OH and if you guys have old toys the Reuse Center is doing a toy drive!

  6. Parsley, I know right? It's addictive!
Silverstar, I know! It either seems like it was only last month or it seems like it was forever ago. Depending on how I look at it. lol! Do I even want to know your evil plot? lol! Yay for new blogs!! I'm a follower now!
Lisa, I know!! It's so great! That's a good idea about donating. One of the things I decided to do with part of the money we got back from the queen contest is buy a couple of goats through World Vision. It was really cool! And I don't think we really have any old toys. Most of the ones I still have, have sentimental value. lol!
Thanks you guys! I'll keep you all posted about today and the rest of the week! :)
